The project was launched in 2004 and led during 2005 to:

• a strategy for increasing access to ICTs in rural and peri-urban Nepal
• the design of pilot projects

It was provided for HMG Ministry of Information and Communications and funded by the World Bank Global Information and Communications Technologies Department.
